A lifelong focus on observing and evaluating behavior is the foundation of Dr. Nitschke's professional identity. In her formal education she was delighted to discover this passion could be grounded in the study of Psychology and Animal Behavior. As she became educated in the systematic, empirical foundation of science she found her best contributions in applying behavior science to the human and other animal relationships in the fields of education in pet training, service dog team development, interspecies communication, and consulting.

The authentic application of critical analysis and behavior science is the empirical foundation for effective, gentle teaching, guiding, and counseling. For Dr. Nitschke, competency in gentle teaching is a required ethical practice for any person influencing another-of any species.
